NATHAN MARSHALL got his start at National Geographic Television, where he shot underwater video for Crittercam Chronicles and
National Geographic News before moving to Los Angeles to complete an MFA in film direction from UCLA.
Nathan has directed national and international marketing campaigns for Scripps Networks, Revlon, DeBeers, Disney Studios, Pixar Animation, Lucasfilm, 3M, and Northrop Grumman. He's directed television for Renegade 83, Country Music Television, National Geographic Television, Bravo and Amazon Studios. In 2014, his film Coffee, Kill Boss garnered more than 25 awards from top film festivals, including Best Director at SoHo International Film Festival and the Maryland International Film Festival. Nathan is also the recipient of gold and silver Telly Awards, and won a commercial Emmy Award for his direction of a national marketing campaign for Jewelry Television.
As a writer and creative director, Nathan has licensed pilots to CBS and NBC in partnership with production companies that include Hazy Mills Entertainment and Halfire-Core Productions, and his independently produced half-hour pilot Underwater was optioned by Freemantle Media. Nathan has also developed screenplays with FilmNation Entertainment and Beatrice Springborn, Head of Originals at Hulu. In 2018, Nathan served as the Supervising Producer of original media for the National Comedy Center, opened on August 1.
Nathan lives with his wife and two daughters in Los Angeles.
